Port of Varna
The Port of Varna is located on the western coast of the Black Sea in the Gulf of Varna, along the lakes Varna and Beloslav, and includes the remote port of Balchik.
The port serves the pan-European transport corridors: No. 8, variant No. 7 (Rhine, Main, Danube) and the international transport corridor: Traceca (Europe-Caucasus-Asia). According to the trade register, the commercial company “Pripanishche Varna EAD” carries out port activities and related commercial and technical services; transport and forwarding, investment and engineering activities; research activities; training and qualification of personnel; internal and external trade; handles all types of cargo-containers, bulk, general and bulk. It serves commercial, passenger, cruise, experimental vessels and yachts. National and international regattas are held here. Since 2016, the Port of Varna EAD is a member of MEDCRUISE – the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports.
The sea port of Varna is connected to the sea by an artificial channel with a depth of 14 m. It consists of an inner harbor surrounded by two jetties and an outer roadstead. Available for vessels with a draft of up to 7 m. The total turnover of sea cargo passing through the port is 6 million tons…
